TATUNG TPC6L 10 Cup Electric Pressure Cooker

This cooker is the best one out there...
After having lots of troubles with another brand of electric pressure cooker I decided to get a new one. I found this one and whow--what a difference! I LOVE the stainless steel bowl because non-stick is supposedly not as healthy to use. And the stainless steel on this pressure cooker really has a non-stick quality to it because it is so heavy and well-made. Most importantly I love the way this cooks. I am a whole-grain fanatic and love to cook grains in my pressure cooker--especially brown rice--because it takes only minutes. Always my old electric pressure cooker (Cuisinart) had trouble sealing so it leaked, and food burned on the bottom. Basically nothing turned out very well. With this one my grains are perfect with less water. I love it!

so far, so good
This is my first pressure cooker, combined with rice cooker. I chose this brand because this manufacture has good reputation for durable product. I wanted a pressure cooker because it's fast and I do need to save time. Now I have used this pressure cooker for about a month now.

Pros: It's functioning well as a pressure cooker, in term of being faster than a rice cooker or stove top. It has several functions that allow you to choose what you want to cook, eg., rice, brown rice, beans, meat, tendon, soup, stew, etc. You can pre-set when you want the cooker to start cooking. After it's done, it will switch to "keep warm" mode. This is convenient if you want to just throw food into it and leave for work in the morning. It will be ready when you are back in the evening. The lid is detachable so it's easy to clean. The inner pot is made of stainless steel (not non-stick), unlike most of rice cookers, which are made of not-so-durable non-stick aluminum. It's cheaper than those...

Tatung Elec Pressure Cooker
I absolutely love this pressure cooker. It is quiet, keeps the kitchen cool and works good. I chose this brand because it has a stainless pot that the food cooks in. The instruction manual is in English and Chinese. You can find wonderful recipes online and timetables for veggies. After the pressure built, it took 2 minutes for great cauliflower. Roasts cook in less than an hour, and I could go on and on recommending this product. It retains most of the precious vitamins and minerals. I can't wait to try a cheesecake recipe I found online for the pressure cooker. I highly recommend this cooker for anyone with limited time and a desire for good, healthy food at home.
