disappointed
Unfortunately, after a number of uses, it still smells very "plastic-y" and even more disappointing is that the automatic shut off only seems to work if I am boiling 8 cups of water. Otherwise, it will boil and boil and boil.....it would boil dry if I didn't come back to flip the switch.
While it seems to boil water pretty rapidly, for the above reasons, I would not purchase it again.
Water Kettle
This kettle is made in China, but for the price it works just great out of the box, it took three rinses to clear the manufacturing odors/bad tastes out of it. It works just as good as my previous Krups kettle. Hopefully it last longer than three years without the plastic cracking as did the Krups.
cheap plastic looking
if I saw this in the store, I would have never picked it up. It is cheap looking with cheap plastic interior. Very disappointed and would never recommend this.
