Awkward pour & barely whistles
I wanted to love this kettle because I'm a Le Creuset fan, it looks great and the smaller capacity is good for me because I am a single person. The small size of the kettle causes the handle to be tall and therefore awkward in pouring. You have to really tilt the kettle to drain the water. The top doesn't fit tightly and a lot of steam escapes which creates the potential for burning your hand. When the water boils the kettle does not whistle it "whispers". This is a kettle that requires attention when boiling the water because of the "whispering" and the burn potential because of the leaking top closure.
Sturdy, good-looking kettle
Good, solid construction--definitely better than most kettles I've owned. I'd give it 5 stars if the whistle didn't sometimes malfunction.
Does Not Whistle
Love the look and goes great with my new kitchen, but....doesn't whistle and water pours out of the closed spout when boiling even if it is only half full of water. Quite a mess!
