Nordic Ware Pro Cast Traditions Enameled Oval Roaster with Cover, 5.5-Quart, Cranberry

Not worth it
Let me start by saying that it is beautiful and that it cooks well. My problem. It burnt my fingers. The lid and the handles get terribly hot, something I did not expect when using on the cook top. If they can find a way of having handles and top of the lid, that remain cool, it would be great.

I love this pan regarding the shape and color. I am having difficulty with the thin layer of finish both inside and outside as it scratches very easily. I use wooden utensils and the bottom inside finish has already worn off in places. I find that this product does not hold up as well as my porcelain clad cookware. I support made in USA products and companies.

Interior finish is flaking away....
At first I loved this roaster; you can use it in the oven and on the stove, making it very versatile BUT after using it maybe a dozen times I noticed the interior is wearing off. This means I am consuming miniscule pieces of the inside pan coating! something I really don't want to consume, and probably others don't as well. I have other Nordic Ware pans and am hoping they won't have the same problem. Really disappointed, I bought this because it was about the only cookware made in the USA and I thought it would be of a better quality than it's turned out to be.
Update: Oct. 25, 2013: The interior finish continues to flake away; also there is areas of pitting along the top rim of the roaster pan. I am truly disappointed and will contact Nordic Ware, doubt if they will offer to replace this defective pan because I have a feeling all their cookware is like this. I have only used a non-abrasive nylon scrubber pad (Scotch Brite "Dobie" ) on this pan, so my choice of cleaning...
